In our country, it's eternal summer. But I guessed yup, it's cooler on year ends and now. Shorter daylights too.
I do know Herbie will change color because we got her from a bunch of sapphire babies. But it's rather fast. I miss that white snowy coat. She looks nicer and more feminine in white than in grey. =x
Oh it's ok Paula. Haha, we live in tiny island Singapore. Both of us are on world's ends. There is no seasons here. It's only either sunny days or rainy days. Our temperatures don't fluctuate much either.
However said, I do have hamsters changing coats. Mostly my sapphire winter whites are the ones. Herbie is now one of them. =)

I apologize for the ignorance, not knowing where they live if it's cold or heat.
But it is common hamsters change color in the coat when colder or warmer, if "mixing" with the landscape.
Here in Brazil, mainly in Rio de Janeiro, where I live, see hamsters very clear.
Do you live where?
Sorry: We DO NOT see very clear hamsters by daily insolation.
They have gray fur, darker on.

Singapore do not know, but I know it is very cosmopolitan and the center resembles Manhattan.
Great to know that there are so nice people like you across the "my world", Brazil.
Hi Paula, we are living in a city, but on smaller scale compared to Manhattan.
Though I never been to Brazil, to me it is a vibrant place full of dance and celebrations. And yes, soccer! =D
